We have a friendly

We've arranged a friendly match against Greater Leys U17s on Sunday 1st September with kick off at 11am. It's at our new home ground, Louie Memorial Fields. Please could all players notify us they are able to attend and be on the pitch ready to warm up by 10.30am. Help with the goals would be much appreciated!

Friendly cancelled

Abingdon United have unfortunately cancelled the friendly arranged for Thursday 29th. We are trying to get another game sorted for Sunday 1st September but it's proving difficult at this short notice. If anyone has any contacts for a team that may be able to play on Sunday please let us know.

In the meantime we will be training as usual on Wednesday 28th August 7pm at Louie Memorial Fields.

Practice session on Sunday 25th

Well done to those who showed for the first training session on Wednesday, it went well.
I appreciate it's Bank Holiday weekend but if enough people would like a 40mins – 1hr practice session at Louise Memorial Fields this Sunday at 11am then we'll organise it.

We've got enough people able to play on Sunday so the session is on. It's informal so all friends of the club are welcome to come along.

Training at Louie Memorial Fields on Wednesday

We will be holding our first training session at our new home venue Louie Memorial Fields at 7pm on Wednesday 21st August.

Cumnor Minors at Tilsley Park 5 a side

Well done to Cumnor Minors players Zak Betnay, Levi Webb, George Thomas and Cameron Selkirk representing carbon colour in the Neftex Cup 5 a-side tournament on Saturday. With some help from Pete Bennett and Nigel Allen in goal they came a creditable 7th from 11 against regular adult 5 a side teams, winning 4 of their games. It was a good performance all round.

Our next practice session is again at the Louise Memorial Fields on Sunday 11th August starting at 11am. There should be players from other teams there so we will arrange games depending on numbers. All players and friends welcome to this session
