Grove tournament 6th July

The Grove tournament seems to be clashing with too many other events on Saturday so we have decided not to enter a team. Apologies to those that indicated they could play.

Looking for short sponsorship

Our kit is getting rather old and threadbare after two years of constant use so we are looking for a company we would like to sponsor us for the new season.
It's a great opportunity to show you are supporting local sporting activity and we are hoping for another successful and high profile season.

Summertown Tournament

It was a frustrating day at Cutteslow Park.
We started steadily and the first match was a 0-0 draw. We contrived to lose the second game 2-0 despite hitting the cross bar twice and dominating virtually the whole game. The third match was another 0-0 draw which meant we needed to win the fourth and final league game to go through to the knock out phase. It was all going well as we were 1-0 up until they equalised with about 2 minutes to go. Despite extra pressure we couldn't regain the lead and the game finished 1-1. This meant that although we finished the league in joint third we were knocked out because the others had won a game despite losing more.
The team all played well and it showed just how much of a lottery tournaments can be, especially on the small pitches.
Our next tournament is at Grove on Saturday 6th July. We are now entering two teams for this one so all players and friends of the club are welcome to play.

Tournament update

We are playing the Summertown tournament at Cutteslow Park on Sunday 15th June starting at 1.30pm.
The team is Kane Slaymaker, Daniel West, Jim Whitelock, Jack Hitchen, Charlie Bennet, Adam Croad and Levi Webb.
We originally entered two teams but due to a mix up with Summertown we are now only allowed one. Apologies to those who were down to play but they will be in the next tournament at Grove. We've now have entered two teams for that one to make sure no-one misses out.
